PayrollHero employs a facial verification system to ensure that the correct employee is at the right workplace at the right time. This technology helps us identify a user in our system by capturing the 6 facial points on our faces. These 6 points are: 

• Right Eye
• Left Eye
• Nose
• Right Cheek
• Left Cheek
• Chin

Why do we need to practice for a good selfie? Simple, to prevent a mismatch. What is a mismatch? A mismatch occurs when our facial verification system is unable to detect the 6 facial points in your picture.  This could be factored by the following instances :

• Too dark
• Unclear face
• Unclear match
• Missing photo
• Missing master photo
• Blurry pictures

We tag selfies as mismatch to prevent users from buddy punching, ghost punching, and to put smiles on your employees’ faces everyday.

To get a quality selfie, you would need to make sure you capture all the 6 points of your face. Below are good examples of selfie, take note that all of the pictures below captured all of the points needed to prevent a mismatch:

Shy? Well, no matter! you can try this i’m-super-shy pose.

Remember, you don’t always have to be in the same angle with every selfies you take, you can pull off a classic blue steel with any angle as long as it captures all the 6 points our facial verification system requires.

To add, the selfies below are unacceptable because our system won’t be able to recognize your face, that basically causes a mismatch:

Will our system allow group pictures? DEFINITELY! You can have as many people as you want, but remember that you need to capture the 6 facial points so you won’t be tagged as a mismatch.

Just a reminder, you actually need to be in the group picture, unlike this group picture.

So close… but still not acceptable!
