Blocking OT/OB Requests for Past Dates

Overview

PayrollHero’s Overtime (OT) and Official Business (OB) features allow employees to file requests for past dates.

This option is useful when employees forget to submit their OT/OB requests in advance or are unable to file them for other reasons.

However, some companies do not allow late OT/OB filing, especially when the employee’s attendance records have already been resolved.

To accommodate these companies, PayrollHero offers an option to block employees from filing OT/OB requests for past dates.

How Does the Restriction Work?

Once this feature is enabled, employees will no longer be able to file OT/OB requests for dates where their attendance has already been resolved (published).

If an employee attempts to submit an OT/OB request for a period with published attendance, the system will prevent the submission and display the following error message:

“Published attendance exists in the requested period.”

How to Enable the Feature

The option to block OT/OB requests for past dates is not enabled by default.

If your company wants to prevent employees from submitting late OT/OB requests, simply send an email to support@payrollhero.com requesting that this feature be enabled on your account.

Our Support Team will assist you with enabling the restriction.
